First, we make a brief stop at the Cyprus Handicraft Center in Nicosia, an outlet for producing and selling traditional folk art and crafts. You can then enjoy a short drive around Nicosia town center during which you get the chance to see some of the most important landmarks of the capital. We then drop you off inside the Walled Old Town Center, where you get lots of free time for shopping and lunch (optional extra) and to explore the town! During your free time there, you also have the chance to cross the barrier (also known as the “Green Line”) that divides the Cypriot capital city of Nicosia into the southern Greek-Cypriot region and the northern Turkish-Cypriot region since the Turkish invasion in 1974. The Turkish occupied part of Nicosia that remains in a time-lock also has many interesting places to visit. NOTE: * Do not forget to take your passports or European Union Identity cards with you, if you want to visit both sides of the last divided city in the world!
