Many tourist are not aware of the invasion of this island in 1974 which has changed its political landscape and still continues be a talking point. Today it is still patrolled by the military 365 days a year, by both Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot soldiers. Achna Village is one of the most poignant landmarks on the Divided Line.
